Rain patters
The mad hatter
should not be blamed for mindless chatter
I would too, trapped as I am in an endless cycle of sunrises and sunsets without a clear distinction of what day it is
The days of the week start to look like a mindless invention of ancient past
When it’s clear that we’ve needed just 3 days needed all along: yesterday, today and tomorrow
Does it matter?
As long as things get done and we awake again,
pressing a bit closer to the mark of the high calling,
as we gear up to an unexpected unveiling of the unique giftings that the Spirit laid in us.
Maybe, maybe not.
The mundane may have been overrated, the overrated mundane
But as hours roll into days,
time stands still, as it races straight for the end of this age
Did I catch your attention?
Now that we no longer are chasing our tails,
and the passage of time,
as important and weighty as the personality of our prison-partners…
Does it matter?
The character that you were asked to pay attention to…
The values that you thought didn’t count…
The voice of your children, their questions and insecurity –
The yawning voids that you should have filled
Can we banter?
Delve into what it means to have arrived at this point –
And what it would take to get us out…
And headed to where we thought we were going in the first place
✌️
